Ok I have been using qm for about 4 years and this has happen to me many times, while editing a macro I will be typing and all of a sudden when I type it starts to type over what is already in the editor, it will do this until I reboot QM.
I know this can not just be me I have had this happen on 5 or more computers using all QM Versions since 2003.

You may have bumped the insert key, located above the delete button. I've had the same problem before but when I hit the insert key it fixed the problem.

It happens to me too. And not only with QM. Ins toggles text overwrite mode.
Will add a notification in the output. Thank you.
