Macro to copy text and past it as number

Hi!! Im new in all this macro stuff, and I want to make a macro that select text form a column in one spreadsheet on excel, and paste it in another spreadsheet but, I Have to past this info as 1, if is text in the row,and as nothing is ther no text in the row. Can everyone help me on this?? thanks
