Can a qm generated exe use qmshlex.dll?
It would be nice to have that.

Maybe, but I did not try. You can redistribute qmshlex.dll and x64\qmshlex.dll with your exes. Register the former on 32-bit OS, the later on 64-bit OS. The dlls use registry data that is set by SMT_Table function. On menu click the dlls send WM_SETTEXT to the window that is created by shell_menu_triggers function.
