on qm version 2.3.0.2
when u click open on icon editor, either one, there is a freeze and a delay.

Here works well. Possibly it depends on triggers. Try to open new empty macro list file (menu File -> Open/New File) and see how works then.

Try to uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' in folder options.

It is in:
Open Windows Explorer or My Computer or some other folder, go to menu Tools -> Folder Options, click View tab.
