Restarting EXE
#3
Is it also possible to use this when an EXE is created from a function?
The problem is when I use the code in the example below, the EXE is not shutdown while another instance is loaded so I end up with 2 dialogs.

The dialog shows the contents of a textfile, it is one line and it contains the line: "TEST 1"
1) I start the below compiled EXE, and dialog shows "TEST 1"
2) I re-edit the textfile (I now put "TEST 2" in the textfile)
3) then I press the 'reboot' button and I end up with 2 dialogs one showing "TEST 1" and the other dialog "TEST 2"

Function restart_exe_dlg
Code:
Copy      Help
\Dialog_Editor

if(!ShowDialog("" &sub.DlgProc 0)) ret

;BEGIN DIALOG
;0 "" 0x90C80AC8 0x0 0 0 224 136 "Dialog"
;3 Static 0x54000201 0x0 36 24 152 64 ""
;4 Button 0x54032000 0x0 6 114 48 14 "reboot"
;1 Button 0x54030001 0x4 116 116 48 14 "OK"
;2 Button 0x54030000 0x4 168 116 48 14 "Cancel"
;END DIALOG
;DIALOG EDITOR: "" 0x2040105 "*" "" "" ""

#sub DlgProc
function# hDlg message wParam lParam

sel message
,case WM_INITDIALOG
,,restart_exe_StaticText(hDlg)
,case WM_DESTROY
,case WM_COMMAND goto messages2
ret
;messages2
sel wParam
,case 4
,,restart_exe_RebootButton
,case IDOK
,case IDCANCEL
ret 1

Function restart_exe_StaticText
Code:
Copy      Help
function int'hDlg
str pth="F:\__windows_folders\_user\desk\test.txt"
str settxt.getfile(pth)
settxt.setwintext(id(3 hDlg))

Function restart_exe_RebootButton
Code:
Copy      Help
;/exe
if mes("Restart" "" "YN")='Y'
,run ExeFullPath
