Enter Text into dialog to control speed

I was wondoring how i could make it so that when i enter #s into a dialog box that it will control my speed

so if i enter 2 into the box it will make my speed 2 and if i enter 4 into it it will do the same
and i would also like to put differnt wait times into a drop down menu thing for wait times...so i can wait 5sec and there all per set into Combo lists and stuff...ty so much your the coolest i need this for my office work
