What I would like to realize is that two succesive taps on the mouse pad say at least one inch apart presses the Back button.

Could QM get the coordinates of a tap on a mouse pad?

No, QM sees it as a double click, or two clicks, in same position. And QM does not know whether it was a tap or button.

I've used the "Left-Right" mouse trigger to do this in the past.
