KVM Switch Problem
#1
Hi, I just downloaded QM yest. I have two computers that I
toggle back and forth between all day long (about 50 times a
day) via a KVM switch.

The way to switch between computers is to hit the scroll lock
key twice in rapid succession (within 0.5 second).

I created a macro (key J) that allows me to trigger the scroll
lock key with any other key or with the mouse, HOWEVER, when I
use the macro to activate the scroll lock key twice in rapid
succession the KVM switch does not toggle the computers back and
forth via the macro. I've tried merely tranferring the scroll
lock key to another key and then hitting the newly created
scroll lock key twice; that does not work either.

Only if I physically depress the scroll lock key myself will the
computers toggle back and forth.

The main reason I wanted to purchase this program was to
automate toggling between computers. Any ideas on how I could
use this program to make that happen?

I'm pretty sure the KVM is filtering the scroll lock key before the computer sees it reguardless, the keyboard itself is switching the KVM not the computer. I can't think of a work around unless the KVM can be switch via software.

i think matt is right. the scroll lock has to hit the kvm switch from the input channel cuz it wont take it from the output channel...
