Selecting lines of text in a TVirtualStringTree

Using an Acc a=acc() statement, I was able to get the text of a TVirtualStringTree focused/selected line of text. I am looking for any advice on the way I could further handle this list, particularly in what in concerns navigating and/or selecting particular lines. Many thanks for any advice.
