Should I be able to search and find text within an encrypted macro?  Does this happen at the time of search or is there an index?

In the past QM used to skip encrypted items. Now I see it is changed. In QM source code I found the old code disabled and this comment added:
//note: allow to find encrypted. It is more useful than dangerous.

It finds items containing the search text but does not show item text.

so there's not an index sitting somewhere that could be hacked that would pull all words from a particular macro and then start manually sifting through those results?
I ask because if there was an index that had a list of words and then the macros that came from them, one could put together a list of passwords and ids from that.
